From facilitating, and hosting, to workshops and coaching, as well as through photo-ethnographies, Diverse Collaborations  is here to hold space for you as you navigate your journey of finding your own voice, bring your whole self into the world, clarify your vision or move diversity and inclusion forward in your organization.

Coaching

A temporary partnership between two individuals where one (the coach) holds space for an individual to focus on finding their true voice, purpose and possibilities at a particular moment in time. Mari's mindfulness coaching is mostly a short term collaboration and can be focused on immediate decision-making, on overcoming specific barriers, or as a visioning, planning and realization tool as one considers bringing one's full person into the next steps on one's life.

Workshops

Diverse Collaborations offers a variety of workshops. From intimate Creativity and Mindfulness workshops like Finding Your Own Voice, to Diversity and Inclusion workshops focusing on the basics of Cultural Competence to the nuances of privilege and the importance of developing awareness of one's own cultural lenses and cultural humility. We also offer Customer Service and Communication workshops for new as well as seasoned leaders and working teams.

Facilitation

The art of being present, giving full attention and setting the tone for groups and organizations to be able to fully participate in the process of visionary planningcreative conversations or leadership, staff or board retreats. Hosting and catering are also available with or without facilitation.

Coaching for Inclusion (C4i)

Specifically geared to support diversity and inclusion in organizations wherever they are in the process,  Coaching for Inclusion (C4i) offers CDO and other diversity and inclusion leaders the support they need to move forward in advancing inclusion and navigate the challenges that arise in the process.

Photo-Ethnography

A photo-ethnography is an attempt to give voice to people affected by the issue the photo-ethnography explores. Pairing portraits with testimonies of those  photographed the stories photo-ethnographies tell are the result of a collaboration between the photographer and the individual whose testimony is shared in their own  own words. Photo-ethnographies attempt to emphasize the humanity of those who have agreed to participate in the photo-ethnographic series and to give voice to people silenced by mainstream culture and who, more often than not, are systematically excluded and dismissed as numbers. Photo-ethnographies give a face to the human being made invisible by our culture's narrative about "issues" such as immigration,  domestic violence, or gender identity. They aslo intend to give voice to the daughters, sons, parents, friends, grandparents, brothers and sisters that are silenced when counted as numbers impacted by the issue at hand.

Photo-ethnographies can be leased to be exhibited in schools, galleries and/or public buildings and used to raise awareness, educate and promote change and social justice.
